Small Triangle Fordite Earrings
The stone is one of a kind. If you are interested in something similar, please email me to discuss what type of stone you are looking for.
The best way to care for your jewelry is to clean it with soap and water and then store it in a clean and dry place. Over time, the patina may wear so I am happy to re-oxidize the piece.

Fordite is not technically a stone. It is actually a manmade material that came from the floors of the assembly lines at the Ford Motor Company. Before the car painting process was automated like it is now, cars were painted by hand on long production lines. The vehicles’ paint would drip off and dry on the equipment used to move the automotive bodies. This enamel paint would then get baked onto the rack and solidify. After this process is repeated hundreds or thousands of times, the deposits can grow to be several inches thick. The Fordite in this ring comes from a Corvette factory in Bowling Green, KY.
